The goal of this workshop is to provide a space for us to think deeply about how grades can be leveraged for learning in composition classes. In this workshop, we will reflect on the beliefs and goals that underline our grading policies and collaboratively develop a grade contract in line with those philosophies. Whether or not you choose to adopt grade contracts in your course, you can expect to leave this workshop with a stronger sense of your philosophy of assessment and a model grade contract for potential use in future courses.
